Everyone of us, at least once in our lifetime, has heard an expression: “You are what you eat”. Anything you eat in your breakfast, anything you drink at the evening, anything that you put in your body afterwards becomes a part of you.
Imagine a building. Imagine that you have to build a strong and faithful building. From what kind of materials will you build it? Will you go to market and buy the poorest quality materials you can find, just to get the building done, ore you will search the best and strongest raw materials you can get? If you are really talented, you may get the building done very beautiful from the outside, no matter what kind of materials has been used, but will it be strong enough? From the outside it will look just fine, but try to put it’s structure under the test and see what happens – it crumbles. The same happens to your body. Put in junk and low nutrient unhealthy foods and the structure of your body will not be strong. You may look good on the outside, but continue on that path of eating unhealthy and harmful foods, your body will not be able to keep holding up.

Researches has shown that moderate intake of no more than two glasses of red wine a day can actually reduce the risk of a heart attack
What your body needs is nutrients! Nutrients are the fuel of your body. The best way to get enough of this fuel is to eat healthy, natural food as various as possible. Eating a wide range of food that includes a variety of nutrients is the easiest way to have a healthy diet. Include in your diet as many as possible different color fruits, vegetables, eat grains and red meat and unhealthy fats, like saturated and trans-fats, sparingly. Trans-fats clog up your arteries that feed the heart and brain which can lead to heart attack or stroke risk. But fiber you get from plants makes you feel fuller longer, it makes plants an ideal tool for those who wish to lose weight. Foods high in fiber also take longer to chew, giving your body more time to register what you have eaten, and send the signal back to your brain that you are satiated. Another way to get you needed nutrients is to drink healthy drinks, like red wine. Researches has shown that moderate intake of no more than two glasses of red wine a day can actually reduce the risk of a heart attack by as much as fifty percent. Wine is also high in potassium which has been shown to be good for the heart as well as being rich in Vitamin B.
There are so many reasons why you should choose healthy food I can’t even count them all, anything I can say is to try it and feel the good consequences of healthy diet. Most important of all is keep calories in check, so you can avoid weight gain. Getting the right nutrients in the right amounts is one of the secrets to feeling great. So, tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are!
