Why Do We Eat Too Much ?

Who does not want a slim figure, balanced and attractive? Some of us have a better metabolism, while others maintain their physical form by going to fitness and nutrition as trying to have a more balanced and low in fat diet. However, sometimes we are going to eat more than usual. But what happens to us and how to prevent this?

Eat to combat stress

Sooner or later, the pressure they feel at work, or at home, will make you to “devour” half of a chocolate, even if you know how many calories contains. What happens so? When you are nervous and agitated, the body secretes a larger amount of a hormone called cortisol.

Try this!

Think of some ways to deal with stressful situations in your life. Perhaps you assume too many responsibilities and, in this case, do not hesitate to ask others to help, be it family or coworkers.
Apply, whenever you feel the need, a relaxation technique such as yoga or meditation. Drink wine and listen to soothing music.
Be active. Even five minutes of walking helps to reduce levels of cortisol from the body.

Are you hungry all the time

According to U.S. experts on problems of nutrition, no one is born gourmet. Eating too much is just a habit like other bad habits.

Try this!

Cancel foods high in fat and replaces them with whole grains, vegetables, fruit, yogurt and lean meats. They will give you the sensation of fullness.
Avoid eating too much at one meal, adopting this process “little and often”.

You do not resist the temptation

Ads on television, sweets shop, posters and billboards of different restaurants … If you are not careful, you often “eat” these temptations. And suffice to happen a few times … and have your belly not look exactly as you want!

Try this!

Distract your attention – calling a friend, take a bath, listen to music, read a newspaper or, if you’re on the street, walk away as soon from the object of temptation.

Eat something light and healthy, such as a fruit. This would have to fight hunger and temptation of a succulent sandwich or a chocolate.

Eating for so relax

If you’re lonely or angry, it is possible to look for relief in the fridge. Foods are recognized as having the properties of relaxation, even if only for short term.

Try to find out why you tend to get rushed to the refrigerator when you are not even hungry. Get bored, you’re lonely, dissatisfied? It is impossible not to find a way to overcome these feelings … one that would not be related to diet!
