If possible, start taking the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator at work and in the shopping mall. Additionally, you might want to find a walking buddy to make your walks more interesting.

It is important to realize that some people experience greater hunger after walking. If this happens to you, have a few low calorie snacks and water readily available to counteract those feelings of hunger.
If you can resist the urge to eat at all after exercising, then you are one step ahead of the game. However, this isn’t always possible, so preventing an eating binge with a planned strategy is the best path to follow. If you begin to experience medical problems at anytime during your new walking strategy, you should consult with your physician.
