How Fruits and Vegetables Can Help You to Stay Slim?

Vegetables are nutritious foods which contain many vitamins and minerals. Eating vegetables can help you to stay slim. Even if you are not an obese, eating vegetables allow your body to maintain a healthy weight. Not all fruits contain equal amount of calories.

Vegetables that can help you to lose weight at a fast rate include Swiss chard, cabbage and spinach. Besides eating vegetables, you can drink vegetable juice. When drinking vegetable juice, make sure you don’t add refined sugar.

There are two different types of vegetables including starchy vegetables and non starchy vegetables. Starchy vegetables can cause you to grow fat because they contain lots of carbohydrates. Non starchy vegetables do not contain as much carbohydrate and sugar content as starchy vegetables. Examples of starchy vegetables include potato, and yams. Non starchy vegetables are vegetables with green leaves such as broccoli, artichokes and etc. If you are below fifty years old, you should eat 2 – 3 cups of non starchy vegetables. If you are older than fifty years old, you should eat 2 cups of non starchy vegetables.

Vegetables such as Kale can remove the bad cholesterol in your body and make you become slimmer. By lowering the bad cholesterol level in your body, you can reduce the risk of heart attack. More than five hundred thousand people died because of heart disease. Eating kale can cause your body to produce the bile acid. When the bile acids are excreted, your body will make even more of them. Bile acids can also reduce the cholesterol level in the body. By speeding up the bile excretion process, lesser cholesterols will be stored in your body. Eventually, you will become slimmer and healthier.

Eating fruits can reduce the fat in your body as well. Most fruits have pectin fibers. Pectin fiber can binds the bile acids that are produced in the stomach. If you eat fruits regularly, the bad cholesterol will be removed from your body gradually. You can eat any type of food to lose weight including apple, orange, pear and etc. You can eat superfruit such as blackberry, acai berry, strawberry and bilberry to lose weight faster. Superfruit contains a large amount of antioxidants. Antioxidants can remove the free radicals and strengthen your immune system. You should not worry about getting fat if you eat fruit. Fruits usually don’t cause people to become fat.

Some people feel that it is hard to incorporate vegetables and fruits into their meals. You can start to introduce fruits and vegetables into your daily diet by writing them down on a piece of paper. You can write a few fruits and vegetables you like to eat and stick them on the refrigerator. To motivate yourself, you can eat a different fruit and vegetable each day. You can cook the fruit or vegetable in the way you want and enjoy them during meal time. It is healthy to eat a big bowl of salad every day. You should introduce the fruits and vegetables into your diet slowly so that you can get used to it.
