Most of us who works in office have to do desk jobs. We have to sit hours and hours. As a result it often becomes difficult for us to keep us fit and lose our extra weight. Here I will show you how to get exercise at your workplace so that you can enjoy a fit and healthy life:
1. Use your cycle or walk to the office
Walking or cycling is a good exercise. It will be very good for your health if you can use your cycle or walk to your office. If your workplace is too far away then use cycle or walk at least to the bus stoppage or metro station. This practice will also save fuel and our environment from pollution.
2. Get up regularly from your seat
If you have a desk job, it does not mean that you have to sit all the time in your seat. Get up from your seat at each hour and go to toilet and drink water. It will help you to move your body and relax your mind. It will be wise to keep a note on your monitor or set an alarm for getting up from your seat after every hour.
3. Use your breaks effectively
Lunch break and tea break are the best opportunity to take short workout in your office. If there is a gym then use it during this break period. You can walk around your office or can walk in the office corridor. The up and down of the office stairs can be a good exercise.
4. Practice free hand exercise in office
You may not bring your heavy exercise equipment to your office. But you can keep simple dumbbells in your desk drawers. You can use these whenever you get time. If it’s not possible then just perform free hands exercise. It will not only keep your body fit but also refresh your mind.
Practicing good habits and developing positive behavior are essential to get fit body and good health. Your willingness is the most important factor. It is not true that just because you are doing desk job you cannot lose weight or cannot keep your body fit. If you maintain the above mentioned procedure you can get exercise even at your office when you are doing desk job.
