Although, the researchers are not certain about the mechanism by which blueberries act still, they are united on the fact that blue berries do help to reduce weight.

Another important feature of blueberries are their antioxidant compounds, these help in detoxification and improvement of skin tone. Blueberries have also been found to reduce the occurrence of stretch marks past body weight reduction.

According to another report on the research conducted at USDA, Arkansas, the anthocyanins from blue berry extract are more effective compared to blue berry whole fruit when consumed. The main mode of action of blue berries lies in their satiating effect on the body, which is therefore useful in reducing craving for food.

In totality, it could be mentioned that blue berries could be an effective means of improving the weight loss and further research is warranted to determine the exact mechanism by which they act on the body.
